2,565meters above sea level, Doi Inthanon...

Doi Inthanon National Park is the highest mountain in Thailand with the height of 2,565meters above sea level. It is located in Chaingmai Province. The mountain (Doi in Thai Language) is largely a granite batholith intruding a southerly extension of the Shan Hills range and forming the divine between the Nam Mae Ping River to the East and the Nam Mae Chaem River to the West. Lower elevations in the most easterly part of the park are limestone formations and contain a number of caves.

The park covers an area of 48,240 ha. Its lowlands below 800 meters in elevation are warm and very dry during the rain-free season, but the summit of Doi Inthanon, at 2565 meters, has a climate more like Canada than Thailand. The temperature has been known to drop as low as -8 degrees C. and frosts are not unusual during the cool, dry season. January is the coldest month: an average nighttime temperature is 5.5 degrees C. At any season, Doi Inthanon is a comfortable reprieve from the heat of the lowlands. At altitudes above 1000 meters, rainfall exceeds 2500 mm, considerably more than at nearby Chiang Mai. Even in the dry season, November to April, there is rare but occasional rain or the summit may be shrouded in cloud for a part of the day; persistent mist is an important factor in the maintenance of moist forest there.

The summit of Doi Inthanon is in Km 48. It offers some fine views, before the dry season haze has become well established. Experience the beauty of the summit during the months of November and December. It has cold weather and high humidity throughout the year, particularly the top of the National Park.

Visitors may take pictures freely of any other subject but photographing any part of the radar station is forbidden.

Numbers of waterfalls to visit are also located in the mountain and one of the most spectacular waterfall in the North of Thailand is the Watchirathan Waterfalls.

Doi Inthanon National Park is the place to be and I was there....

My Own Point of View

Time gives us everything and takes everything away, too. One movement of time could make a difference. It could make you famous and rich or it could take your breath away and be gone forever.

Is time important?
YES IT IS!!!

As parent raising up three children and building a God centered family, I found out how important the time is. In my own point of view, time is not just to arrange schedules, commitments and duties but to prepare and be ready. As we ain't gettin' any younger and might already be in the middle age of life, it is about time to rehabilitate ourselves emotionally, spiritually and physically. Time to surrender ourselves to what we believe in. Time to start achieving our goals that might been forgotten and time to open the door for a better future.

As the Spanish thinker Rafael Nunez said, " We must be stingy with time. Don't squander even one second. The time we lose is precious as gold. So don't let a day pass without acquiring knowledge or integrity. "

An Old Photograph

Where am I? - A question I asked to myself when I first saw this photograph taken 27 years ago. It took me a minute to recognize myself and then finally there I was, a 13 year-old innocent boy with a smile of courage, hope, perseverance and ambition.

This photograph was taken year 1983 in Tagkawayan Central Elementary School, Province of Quezon. An 8-10 hours ride from the Capital of the Philippines, MANILA. These young faces were the Grade VI Section 2 students of our beloved Classroom Teacher Mrs. Soneja. The photograph reminds me of the good old days during our time in elementary. The fun, the laughter, the friendship and the memory of being young. Looking at our young smiling faces, I thought of how good could it be if we are young again. An easy life without commitments, responsibilities and worries. But definitely it is not possible. It is good to visit our childhood days but we cannot live there. It exist, but only in our memory. It could be our guidepost. Life should move on.

As Deepak Chopra quoted: " There is always one moment in childhood, when the door opens and let the future in..."

Waterfall

This day, I took a lot of shots clicking the shutter of my camera under a sweltering afternoon heat until this waterfalls captured my eyes and spotted a good angle for a shot.

When I saw the photograph in my camera's viewfinder, it yields a personal reflection to me. An interpretation came out in me hearing the sounds of the falls...

It is DREAM...
It reminds me of the dream quote of  Anais Nin
saying:

"Dreams pass into the reality of action. From the actions stems the dream again; and this interdependence produces the highest form of living."

Somehow, watching waterfalls gives me a new hope, a new goal, a dream to continue living...

In my opinion...

After a hard day work a question that is probably an essential question a person could ask occur in my mind.

Why do we suffer ?

My little understanding about suffering. Suffering is a burden that ends up into depression, give up one self and even blame the Creator and decide not to believe in Him at all.

In the first place, do we know what we are living for? Is our life worth living? What is our goal in life?

There is a man that had been in the bottom of his life...alcohol, depression etc. He even thought to end up everything and give up. But God help him back to his feet.

When we are in the midst of suffering, we need to be enlighten. God will change our life if we let Him. He is the Father we are looking for all our life.

MY CHILD you may not know me, but I know everything about you.
I am familiar with all your ways.(Psalm 139:1,3)
It is my desire to lavish my love on you simply because your are my child and
I am your Father (1John 3:1)
My plan for your future has always been filled with hope. (Jeremiah 29:11)
Because I love you with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3)
If you seek me with all your heart, you will find me.(Deutronomy 4:29)
When you are brokenhearted, I am close to you. (Psalm 34:18)

WILL YOU BE MY CHILD? (John 1:12-13)
I AM WAITING FOR YOU. (Luke 15:11-32)

(These are some verses I picked out from the video of my friend's page in Facebook
and is not my property. The video title is "ONE OF THE GREATEST VIDEO" )
Trusting the Lord will make all turn out for good.
Let us lay our burdens and sufferings to Him.
